    “Subject” is the part of a sentence or clause that commonly indicates (a) what it is about, or (b) who or what performs the action (that is, the agent).
    “Verb” is the part of speech (or word class) that describes an action or occurrence or indicates a state of being.
    “Object” is a word or group of words, functioning as a noun or a pronoun, that is influenced by a verb (direct object), a verbal (indirect object), or a preposition (object of a preposition).
    “Complement” is a word or word group that completes the predicate in a sentence. In contrast to modifiers, which are optional, complements are required to complete the meaning of a sentence or a part of a sentence.

    “Subject-Verb Agreement” is a correspondence of a verb with its subject in person (first, second, or third) and number (singular or plural).
    Subject verb agreement refers to the fact that the subject and verb in a sentence must agree in number. In other words, they both must be singular or they both must be plural. You can’t have a singular subject with a plural verb or vice versa.
    Ex:       1.  My sister or my brother is meeting you at the house
    2.  Neither me nor you is available to meet him at the airport.
    3.  She and her family are at the supermarket
    4. The athlete or his teammates sprint every day
    5. Two of the dog are very angry
